Hello, this is my second semester at EBC. To start off, ba ba ba ba ba I’m loving it. Now for my story.

I grew up in a Christian School, went to church, lead worship in youth group, you know, the whole thing! However, I never knew what God was calling me to do. Everyone in my church always said I should be a youth pastor. So I thought to myself, “Self, maybe this is what you are called to do.” When my senior year came around I was looking at all the Christian Colleges in the area, but there was always one thing that pushed me away, the price. I was very discouraged, but my senior pastor, Mark Henry, (first president of EBC) said to me, “Check out this school.” So I did. Boy did it blow my mind! So I applied, was accepted, and found a room. Then I moved out to Simi Valley.

God definitely had something to teach me, and I wasn’t sure what it was. As soon as the semester started, God brought me to a place where I had to depend on Him, and Him alone. He has been teaching me to be more dependent on him. EBC, has been a major part in helping me along this journey. All of the professors encouraged me, prayed WITH me, not just for me. They always reminded me to trust in God, and to depend on Him. Something i continually needed to hear. God is truly blessing me and teaching me things I never thought possible. I am really excited to see how God continues to use EBC to bring me closer to Him.

To God be the glory,
Chad
